Recommended Wave Soldering Profile:
Through-hole displays are incompatible with reflow soldering.
Mild "no-clean" fluxes are recommended for use in soldering.
Cleaning should be done with water only, avoiding harsh organic solvents.
Packing & Label Specifications:
Lead forming and installation should not apply stress to the component leads.
The component should be placed at least 5mm from the edge of the PCB.
Circuit Design Notes:
Protective current-limiting resistors may be necessary.
LEDs in parallel should each have a current-limiting resistor.
The circuit should protect the LED against reverse voltages and transient spikes.
Safe operating current should consider the maximum ambient temperature.
Prolonged reverse bias should be avoided to prevent metal migration.
