Technical Data:

The SA05-11SURKWA Hyper Red LED numeric display offers a peak emission wavelength of 645 nm, a dominant wavelength of 630 nm, and a spectral bandwidth of 28 nm at 50% relative intensity. The capacitance is 35 pF, and the forward voltage at 10mA is between 1.85 to 2.35 V. The reverse current at 5V reverse voltage is less than 10 µA.

Recommended Wave Soldering Profile:

For optimal soldering, use a pre-heat temperature of 105°C or less, followed by a solder bath at 260°C for a maximum of 3-5 seconds. Ensure the PCB top-surface temperature remains below 105°C during soldering.

Cleaning:

Use mild "no-clean" fluxes for soldering. If cleaning is necessary, wash components with water only, avoiding harsh organic solvents that may damage plastic parts. Clean at room temperature and limit the wash time to one minute. After washing with water, remove excess moisture with forced-air drying.

Packing & Label Specifications:

Follow proper through-hole display mounting methods, avoiding bending component leads by hand without proper tools. Ensure the installation process does not apply stress to lead terminals and match the terminal pitch to the substrate board's hole pitch.

Circuit Design Notes:

Consider protective current-limiting resistors for operating LEDs within specified ranges.
Design the driving circuit to protect against reverse voltages and transient spikes.
Choose the safe operating current based on the maximum ambient temperature.
Avoid prolonged reverse bias to prevent metal migration and potential short circuits.
