Handling Precautions:

Handle the component by its side surfaces using forceps or suitable tools.
Avoid direct contact or handling of the silicone lens surface to prevent internal circuitry damage.
Do not stack assembled PCBs with exposed LEDs to avoid lens scratching or circuitry damage.
Ensure the SMD pickup nozzle's inner diameter does not exceed the LED size to prevent air leaks, and use a pliable material for the nozzle tip.
Accurately program the component dimensions in the pick-and-place machine to ensure precise handling and avoid production damage.
Be cautious of corrosive substances like H2S when using LEDs with silicone encapsulation, as it is permeable to gases and can lead to silver plating corrosion.
Silicone vs. Epoxy:
Compared to epoxy encapsulant, silicone is softer and more flexible, reducing thermal stress but making it more susceptible to mechanical damage. Special care must be taken during assembly.
